"Shameful"...(Really, Mr. President??? Who are YOU to spit derogatives?)

I received this in my email from the White House (I get them because I wrote a petition to end abortion. I am now on their email list). The title of the email is "Shameful" (seriously!!!). Here's what President Obama had to say about the denial of passage of the legislation for gun control. READ CAREFULLY and apply to our fight to end abortion:

And a few minutes ago, a minority in the United States Senate decided it wasn't worth it. They blocked common-sense gun reforms even while these families looked on from the Senate gallery.
By now, it's well known that 90 percent of the American people support universal background checks that make it harder for a dangerous person to buy a gun. We're talking about convicted felons, people convicted of domestic violence, people with a severe mental illness. Ninety percent of Americans support that idea. Most Americans think that's already the law...But if action by Congress could have saved one person, one child, a few hundred, a few thousand... Do we really think that thousands of families whose lives have been shattered by gun violence don't have a right to weigh in on this issue? Do we think their emotions, their loss is not relevant to this debate?...The point is those who care deeply about preventing more and more gun violence will have to be as passionate, and as organized, and as vocal as those who blocked these common-sense steps to help keep our kids safe. Ultimately, you outnumber those who argued the other way. But they're better organized. They're better financed. They've been at it longer. And they make sure to stay focused on this one issue during election time. And that's the reason why you can have something that 90 percent of Americans support and you can't get it through the Senate or the House of Representatives...I believe we're going to be able to get this done. Sooner or later, we are going to get this right. The memories of these children demand it. And so do the American people.

BUT WAIT FOR IT...Here's the best part:
"So to change Washington, you, the American people, are going to have to sustain some passion about this. And when necessary, you've got to send the right people to Washington. And that requires strength, and it requires persistence."

OKAY. Here I go:
1. If we look at the recent tragedies, many of these weapons were either purchased legally (as in WITH a background check) or not owned by the shooter (Adam Lanza's mom legally purchased and registered the guns used in the Newton shooting). So how in the world is this legislation going to stop a lunatic? Jared Lee Loughner, the gunman who shot Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, passed an FBI background check. Shouldn’t we fix this loophole before we pass new laws? Why did a raging lunatic like Lochner pass an FBI background check? If a crazy wants a gun, a crazy will get a gun and use it. No law will stop him/her. What a waste of time...
2. "Most Americans think that is already the law..." This is also true for late term abortionsHere is what our current president has to say on this:

Most Americans believe that you can only have an abortion up to 14 weeks. In America, it is legal to have an abortion up until the day of delivery thanks to Doe vs. Bolton, the same 7-2 majority (Justices White and Rehnquist dissenting) that struck down a Texas abortion law in Roe v. Wade, invalidated most of the remaining restrictions of the Georgia abortion law, including the medical approval and residency requirements. Together, Doe and Roe declared abortion as a constitutional right and by implication overturned most laws against abortion in other US states.
3. If the concern of this White House is to save one child, one person, one hundred, one thousand they are fighting the wrong battle. In the minutes that it took him to deliver this message, approximately 47 babies died (one every 23 seconds in America). More children die in one day to abortion (over 3500) than in one year (3000) to gun violence. FOCUS...

4. From his mouth: the point is we must be passionatemore organized, and VOCAL. Stay focused on this one issue at election time and we can see changes. Sooner or later we will get this right. The memories of THESE children demand it as well. (I'll take those words, sir.  Preesh-e-ate ya!)

So, tonight, I thank you Mr. President for clearing it up. We receive what you said and we will take it and use it. To run a defensive play, you must look at your opponent's strategy and counter it. You, sir, have just given a strategy to an army of soldiers who are relentless in their pursuit of justice for the least of these.
Vengeance is the Lord's and He has drafted an Army.
